Clarification

[edit]

Who is Keith Stevens? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Spiel (talkcontribs) 20:48, 11 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

“Keith Stevens (1926-2015), a veteran of the British Army and Foreign and Commonwealth Office, traveled East and Southeast Asia for 40 years collecting information on the folk pantheon. He produced an invaluable monograph titled Chinese Gods: The Unseen World of Spirits and Demons (1997).” - blog post Larrybob (talk) 15:40, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal

[edit]

Both Tu Er Shen and The Leveret Spirit seem to have the exact same subject: A Fujian man martyred for his attraction to an official and deified as the god of love between men. The second article's title seems to be just an alternate translation of the first (Tu Er Shen="rabbit deity"; Tuer shen="leveret spirit") and indeed some content is repeated in both articles. If there is in fact a difference, and separate articles should be maintained, neither article currently makes this clear. Lusanaherandraton (talk) 02:36, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with the merger. It should probably be integrated, rather than separated within the article as a section. There should be a redirect from Leveret Spirit and an "AKA" in the intro paragraph.Luminum (talk) 07:16, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It is 2013 already, but why the files doesn't merged yet? Okkisafire (talk) 07:45, 5 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong image

[edit]

The article itself warns about confusing Tu Er Shen (兔兒神) and Tu Er Ye (兔兒爺) but the image of the article is a statue of Tu Er Ye.

Here are two links on Chinese sites with images that should be of Tu Er Shen.

And here is the Chinese article on Tu Er Ye to show that the image currently on the English Tu Er Shen article is indeed of the wrong deity. 187.84.249.157 (talk) 13:09, 12 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
