I would also argue that many other tools should be mentioned here. For example, the original dremel (now owned by Bosch) might be the first real powered multi-tool. Having hundreds of different heads to allow for different functions in a variety of mediums. I'm very new to wikipedia so I'm not the guy for the job. It's possible that certain drills or screw guns also fit the bill. For example, Makita (and likely others) now make a screw gun that functions as a screw driver, a drill, and also a hammer drill-having all 3 functions built in with a switch to change among these settings. I've re-added Fein Multimaster RS (and the "See also" section). This was previously removed due to concerns over spam and/or conflict of interest. CoI doesn't apply to me (but I would say that, wouldn't I!), but I do acknowledge concerns about spam. My rationale for this is that the Fein was the first oscillating multitool (invented in the 60s IIRC), so it's relevant to the history of the multitool.
