The airport is not listed as João Paulo II anywhere.
The airport's own website calls itself simply Ponta Delgada, and has no mention of João Paulo.
Template:Regions of Portugal: statistical (NUTS3) subregions and intercommunal entities are confused; they are not the same in all regions, and should be sublisted separately in each region: intermunicipal entities are sometimes larger and split by subregions (e.g. the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon has two subregions), some intercommunal entities are containing only parts of subregions. All subregions should be listed explicitly and not assume they are only intermunicipal entities (which accessorily are not statistic subdivisions but real administrative entities, so they should be listed below, probably using a smaller font: we can safely eliminate the subgrouping by type of intermunicipal entity from this box).

It has been noted that several IP edits continue to add this venue as the host for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. Just to clarify to everyone, no venue has been selected yet; only the host city of Lisbon has been chosen thus far. Verified sources that are on the Eurovision article, confirm that a bidding process will be undertaken so that venues can submit the candidature to host the event, similar to the bidding of venue for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012, in which 3 venues had bid in August 2011 for the rights to host, and one finally chosen in October 2011. So let's not get ahead of ourselves and assume that the MEO Arena is the actual venue, until an official publish source confirms the fact.
