Meg Oliver's departure

[edit]

at 2:29 AM EDT, Wednesday, March 18, Meg Oliver announced that this would be her last night hosting the program. Anyone have any info on who will be her replacement? Orpheus42 (talk) 06:39, 18 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

CBS Morning News anchor Michelle Gielan has taken over Meg's spot on the show. MilwaukeeMak (talk) 22:15, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is not the same program as "Nightwatch"

[edit]

CBS News Nightwatch was a longer-form program that originally aired live for four hours. The original anchors were Harold Dow, Felicia Jeter, Karen Stone and Christopher Glenn, in New York. Charlie Rose didn't join the show until it was moved to Washington and cut back to two hours live/two hours repeated. There should probably be a separate article for Nightwatch, though I don't have time to do the research necessary to create one. JTRH (talk) 12:42, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Next comment: Somewhere in the mid-1980's, there was a CBS weekday afternoon program called Up to the Minute, which featured the 60 Minutes correspondents doing updates and interviews mostly related to segments that had previously aired on that show. I'm looking for a source but haven't found one yet. There obviously shouldn't be a disambiguation tag placed on this article if there's no article on the previous show of the same title, but the article should at least mention that it's not the same show. I'm not changing any of the above until I can source it. One thing I can source: The CBS News bio on Charlie Rose says he hosted Nightwatch from 1984-1990. CBS News Roundup (2024)

[edit]

Buried in the write-up of the CBS News 24/7 expansion, CBS revealed that a late-night program called "CBS News Roundup" will be airing on television in the same slot currently occupied by Overnight. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/cbs-news-24-7-streaming-channel/ Trstnandrw (talk) 01:36, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
