New magazine

[edit]

What makes 60 Minutes a News magazine? Firnanda.Reena (talk) 04:12, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Firnanda.Reena: The term "magazine" was associated with the show starting with the first episode in 1968: "1968 opener for 60 Minutes, "a kind of a magazine for television"". CBS News.. The show follows a similar formula to Panorama on the BBC starting 1953.
Is there a section in the article that needs to be expanded? - DutchTreat (talk) 11:40, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This is no longer magazine. This is a TV show. :) Firnanda.Reena (talk) 18:48, 2 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Investigative journalism

[edit]

Is this Investigative journalism? Firnanda.Reena (talk) 04:22, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Among the last redoubts on television for investigative reporting, especially overseas...
Please expand upon your question. Is the article lacking in some way? - DutchTreat (talk) 11:29, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This needs to say that this is investigative journalism Firnanda.Reena (talk) 18:48, 2 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This point is started in the section "Broadcast history" with subsection "Early years". If you have an alternate way of describing the topic, please provide some proposed text below for review and comment. DutchTreat (talk) 20:53, 4 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
60 Minutes is a TV Show. Calling this a magazine is simply inaccurate. No references are needed. Firnanda.Reena (talk) 11:55, 12 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Opening

[edit]

The very start must say this is the number 1 watched new program in the US. This is extremely significant. Firnanda.Reena (talk) 19:57, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
