Professional wrestling career
WWE (2022–present)
Hampton was a part of a new batch of recruits signed to the WWE Performance Center in March 2022.[3] She had no previous experience with professional wrestling, instead coming from an acrobatics and tumbling background.[1] She made her in-ring debut under the ring name Sol Ruca at a house show in Jacksonville on June 24, 2022, teaming with Solo Sikoa to defeat Grayson Waller and Tiffany Stratton.[4] She made her televised debut on the September 27, 2022 episode of NXT 2.0, defeating Amari Miller.[5] In December, Ruca gained viral fame for her innovative finisher, a springboard backflip cutter dubbed the Sol Snatcher.[6] On the January 24, 2023 episode of NXT, Ruca and Alba Fyre faced Kayden Carter and Katana Chance for the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship in a losing effort.[7] In April, Ruca was one of the wrestlers injured by a mystery assailant.[8] This was done to write her off television as she ruptured her ACL, which required surgery.[9]
Ruca returned from injury at NXT Roadblock on March 5, 2024, attacking Blair Davenport, who had injured Ruca, during her match against Fallon Henley.[10] On the April 2 episode of NXT, Ruca defeated Davenport.[11] Two weeks later, Davenport cost Ruca her match against Lola Vice after knocking Ruca off the top rope. Later that night backstage, Ruca demanded NXT General Manager Ava to schedule a No Disqualification match against Davenport at Week 1 of Spring Breakin'. Ava accepted the demand and scheduled the match as a Beach Brawl, which Ruca won.[12][13] At NXT Battleground on June 9, she participated in a six-woman ladder match to crown the inaugural NXT Women's North American Champion, which was won by Kelani Jordan.[14] On the June 25 episode of NXT, Ruca defeated Arianna Grace to earn a title match against Jordan at NXT Heatwave. At the event on July 7, Ruca failed to win the title from Jordan.[15][16]

Hampton has one brother, Coda.[1] Through her father, Paul A Hampton,[17] she is of African-American descent.[18] In 2017, she graduated from Western Christian High School in Upland, California. She majored in Human Physiology at the University of Oregon, where she also competed in gymnastics.[1]
