Oktyabrsky District (Russian: Октя́брьский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia.[1] It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 4,356 square kilometers (1,682 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Oktyabrskoye.[1] Population: 21,097 (2010 Russian census);[3] 28,245 (2002 Census);[5] 30,050 (1989 Soviet census).[6] The population of Oktyabrskoye accounts for 32.1% of the district's total population.[3]
