Incorrect vertical spacing on math formulas

In the first page of the Context-free language article, when rendered as a pdf, some of the equations overlap vertically [1]. I couldn't find anything on the help pages about how to change LaTeX code to work well with the pdf rendering. Is there a way to fix the vertical spacing here? Does this issue happen in the PediaPress rendering? -- Creidieki 18:36, 6 April 2011 (UTC) on the

This problem does not exist in the book available at pediapress. The difference is that the formulas are rendered "natively" in TeX for the books. But for the downloadable PDFs the formulas need to be rendered to images which are embedded in the PDF. I'll try to find out if I can resolve the vertical positioning issue.--Volker.haas (talk) 13:05, 6 May 2011 (UTC)

Creating book in different languages

How can I create a book in different languages? If I want to add some articles in English and then some in Czech - it is not possible because the book creator in czech pages starts from the scratch (0 pages created).

Unfortunately cross language collections are not possible.--Volker.haas (talk) 13:05, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
You could possibly do this in user-space. Rich Farmbrough, 14:22, 15 May 2011 (UTC).

Book Creator---I apologize if this has already been addressed somewhere....(about Release dates in Infoboxes for Video Game Articles, etc.)

Hi. I am sorry if this has already been answered (or if I'm asking in the wrong place), but it seems like in certain video game articles, it won't show the "Release date(s)" in the Infobox of the PDF version. It shows the release dates fine in articles where there is no clickable "Show" button in the Infobox under the "Release dates"; however, in articles on video games of Wikipedia where you need to click "show" in order to show all of the release dates, it shows nothing in the "Release date(s)" field in the PDF version. I guess maybe the problem might not be inherently the Book Creator itself, but maybe I need to talk to WikiProject Video Games and make a request that all Infoboxes within the scope of that project omit the "show" button and just display all the release dates all the time without having to click. I honestly don't know if I needed to mention here, but I thought I'd just give a "heads up" so you guys are aware of the problem just in case by some small chance it's a flaw in the Book Creator PDF versions of articles. I apologize that this is so long. If this doesn't make sense, let me know and I'll try to clarify. This is very oddly specific, so I can't guarantee that if and when I clarify it will make sense then either. Thanks for your time. 67.182.237.57 (talk) 23:52, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
Hello again. I am going to add one thing so this makes more sense: In the PDF version of Super Mario 64, for example, it doesn't show up, but it shows up fine in Super Mario Kart, since in the actual Wikipedia article counterpart you don't have to click the show button in SMK but you do have to in SM64. Maybe this helps make it a little more clear--I hope. Thx. 67.182.237.57 (talk) 23:57, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

Exporting specific sections of an article

It would be nice to be able to export only specific sections of an article to PDF. Thanks. --jonsafari (talk) 04:54, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

Images of chemical compounds

I have found that in some articles, for example Aspartame, the images of the molecule in the info table don't show up on the Book PDF. It appears that since the link for the image file is [[Image:Aspartame.svg|Aspartame]], it is making two columns, divided where the bar "|" is. I don't know if that's the cause of the problem, but it is something I observed. --Proctris (talk) 14:57, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
