Nikhil Anand, a native of Darbhanga, Bihar, India, is the visionary founder and CEO of the Glamanand Group. While pursuing higher education in Delhi, Nikhil's participation in the Mr. North India 2013 competition ignited a passion for the entertainment industry.[6]

In 2014, he established Glamanand Entertainment Pvt Ltd with the goal of providing a nurturing platform for aspiring models. This venture quickly gained momentum, culminating in the acquisition of the national franchise rights for the Miss Earth and Miss International pageants in 2015. Under Nikhil's leadership, Glamanand Entertainment has solidified its position as a leading force in the Indian entertainment industry.[7]

Following the establishment of the Glamanand Group in 2014, the inaugural pageant, "Glamanand Super Model India", was held on 4 November 2015 at Courtyard Marriott Hotel, New Delhi. This event served as a platform to select India's representatives for the Miss Earth, Miss International, and Miss Tourism World pageants in 2015. Supriya Aiman became the first delegate to win the title of Glamanand Miss International India. The pageant continued to be held annually until 2022.[8][9]

In 2020, the Glamanand Group acquired the license for the Miss Grand International pageant. To specifically select India's representative for this competition, the organization introduced Miss Grand India in 2023. Arshina Sumbul, the inaugural Miss Grand India titleholder, achieved a Top 20 placement at the Miss Grand International 2023 pageant held in Vietnam. This marked the first significant achievement for India in the Miss Grand International pageant under the Glamanand Group. At the Miss Grand India 2023 competition, Sophiya Singh was also selected to represent India at the Miss Tourism World pageant.[10][11]

In 2024, the Glamanand Group acquired four international pageant licenses: Miss Asia Pacific International (based in the Philippines), Miss Charm and Miss Cosmo International (both based in Vietnam) and Miss Universe (based in the United States). The acquisition of Miss Universe, one of the world's Big Four international beauty pageants, led the Glamanand Group to launch a separate pageant, 'Miss Universe India', in 2024. The Miss Universe India pageant has introduced state franchises to select their representatives for the national finals. Additionally, a national-level audition was held, where the chosen delegates were awarded wildcard entries to the national finals. Furthermore, Indian citizens residing abroad were also introduced as NRI finalists. As a result, Miss Universe India 2024 has the largest number of delegates competing in any national finals of a beauty pageant in India.[12][13]

The inaugural edition, Miss Universe India 2024, will be held on September 22, 2024, to select India's representative for the Miss Universe 2024 pageant, which will take place on November 16, 2024, in Mexico.

Glamanand Group's inaugural international pageant representatives were sent in 2015 to compete in Miss International 2015, Miss Earth 2015, and Miss Tourism World 2015. Unfortunately, none of the delegates progressed to the semifinals.[14]

In 2018, a significant milestone was achieved when Glamanand Group acquired Miss Teen International, its first international pageant ownership. Ritika Khatnani, the group's delegate, made history by securing the first runner-up position at the inaugural Miss Teen International 2018 pageant held in Gurugram, India. This marked Glamanand's most advanced placement until then in an international beauty contest.[15][16]

In 2019, Glamanand Group achieved its first international victory when Aayushi Dholakia was crowned Miss Teen International 2019.[17][18]

In 2020, Arshina Sumbul, the Miss Grand India 2023 titleholder, represented India at Miss Grand International 2023 in Vietnam. Her top-20 finish marked the Glamanand's first placement at the Miss Grand International pageant, following two previous delegates send in 2020 and 2022.
