Francis Henri Bélanger (born January 15, 1978)[1] is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He played 10 games in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Montreal Canadiens during the 2000–01 season.
1999 boating accident
[edit]On July 23, 1999, during the offseason, Belanger and Mikhail Chernov were on a boating trip to Okanagan Lake in British Columbia with Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Dmitri Tertyshny when the latter suffered fatal injuries in a freak accident.[2]
