English: PERSIAN GULF (March 26, 2009) The Royal Navy frigate HMS Richmond (F 239) patrols the waters surrounding the Al Basra Oil Terminal off the coast of Iraq while merchant vessels wait to take on oil. Richmond is joined by Iraqi and American ships, including the guided-missile cruiser Lake Champlain, which is deployed as part of the Boxer Amphibious Readiness Group supporting maritime security operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
