File:Sokar Hypocephalus Scene.svg

Original file(SVG file, nominally 2,395 × 1,596 pixels, file size: 1.29 MB)

Summary

Description
English: Top-left cell of a typical hypocephalus is typically interpreted as Sokar with outstretched wings. Usually, the sandsled is omitted on hypocephali, but I have drawn in the sandsled (as seen in e.g. [1]), but not the elaborate figurehead, of Sokar's barque.
Date
Source Derived from File:Sokar-Osiris.svg and File:Ancient_Egypt_Wings.svg. The base and the central portion of the boat (but not the sled, except insofar as it is made to conform to the boat), are traced from File:Illustration_from_Pantheon_Egyptien_by_Leon_Jean_Joseph_Dubois,_digitally_enhanced_by_rawpixel-com_82.jpg via File:Khepri Re Hypocephalus Scene.svg.
