Summary
| Description |
English: The dry river bed is exposed in this true-colour image. The arid landscape is tan and orange with darker shades of brown where rock is exposed. The tiny dark green and black dots scattered across the region are trees. The densest clusters of trees are, unsurprisingly, near the rivers, particularly the Ewaso Nyiro. The river itself is a pale tan ribbon of sand. On the right side of the image, a tiny dark line of water trickles through the river. The water appears to be flowing into the Ewaso Nyiro from the Keromet River.
Afrikaans: 'n Satellietbeeld in warekleur van die droë rivierbedding van die Ewaso Njiro-rivier in Kenia. Die dorre landskap is taan en rooibruin, met blootgestelde rotse in skakerings van bruin. Bome is sigbaar as klein verspreide groen of swart kolletjies. Bome groei die digste naby die riviere, veral aan die oewers van die Ewaso Njiro. Die dun, bleekgeel lint van die Ewaso Njiro se sanderige rivierbedding loop horisontaal oor die beeld. Na die regterkant wys 'n dun, donker lyn waar die rivier water bevat, wat blykbaar van die Keromet-sytak afkomstig is. |
