  • Photograph is date stamped July 23, 1936, on the reverse side by the Chicago Tribune.
  • Sheet attached to reverse side of photograph reads as follows:
THE LAST BRIDE OF SUMMER--may smartly select metal cloth instead of satin for her gown. Gail Patrick and Wolfe Hopper, Paramout [sic] players, demonstrate the fact that a late summer wedding may be every bit as festive as the more popular June nuptials. Gail's gown is a Travis Banton creation of white lame with a voluminous tulle veil held to her hair by silver leaves. Her bouquet is of white lilies outlined in tulle. Wolfe is dressed in the conventional groom's attire--striped trousers, tail coat, top hot and all.
  • Wolfe Hopper was the professional name used by William DeWolf Hopper when he was put under contract by Paramount Pictures in March 1936.
  • The photo has no copyright markings on it as can be seen in the original upload.
