Summary
| Description | The former Fire Engine Company No. 53 station house, at 175 East 104th Street between Third and Lexington Avenues in the East Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, was built in 1883-84 and was designed by Napoleon LeBrun & Sons incorporating elements of the Queen Anne and Romanesque Revival styles. The firm designed numerous firehouse for the New York Fire Department, often adapting one plan for multiple locations; in this case, the firehouses at 29 Henry Street and at 304 West 47th Street have largely identical facades. The building has a cast-iron base. It was used as a firehouse until 1974, and is now the headquarters of the Manhattan Neighborhood Network public access channels.
