Donald Larry Crumbley (born 1941) is an American professor emeritus at Louisiana State University and current Professor of Accounting at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi.[1] From 1996 to 2014, he was the KPMG Endowed Professor at Louisiana State University.[2] He is known for his work in taxation and forensic accounting.[3]

Crumbley authors suspense thrillers under the alias Iris Weil Collett, including business ideas. His works include The Ultimate Rip-Off and Accosting the Golden Spire.[4]

Early life

He grew up in Kannapolis, North Carolina. Crumbley joined Pfeiffer University after receiving degrees from A.L. Brown High School. He was a member of the wrestling team and served as student body president.[5]

He earned a master's degree in accounting in 1965 and a doctorate in 1997 from Louisiana State University.[1] Crumbley taught at numerous colleges after earning his Ph.D., including Pennsylvania State University, the University of Florida, the University of Southern California, and Texas A&M University.[2]
