Daniel Aukin is a British-American theater director. He won the Tony Award for Best Direction of a Play in 2024 for Stereophonic.[1]
Early life
Aukin was born in London to Nancy Meckler and David Aukin.[2] He went to the University of Chicago to study comparative religion, but there became interested in student theater.[3]
Career
Aukin became the artistic director of the SoHo Rep theatre in 1999.[4]
Aukin's directorial debut on Broadway was the 2015 revival of the Sam Shepard play Fool for Love.[1]
