Connor Stalions

Connor Peter Stalions is an American football coach who is currently the acting head coach for Detroit Mumford High School. Stalions is best known for his role as the lead perpetrator in the University of Michigan football sign-stealing scandal, which came to light during the 2023 college football season.[1]
After the allegations came to surface, Stalions resigned as a staff member for Michigan and decided to become a defensive coordinator for Detroit Mumford. Following a stroke that the head coach experienced, Stalions was promoted to head coach.

[edit]Role in sign stealing scandal
[edit]The scope of the University of Michigan's alleged sign-stealing operation included both video evidence of electronics prohibited by the NCAA to steal signs and a significant paper trail, per sources. Michigan staffer Connor Stalions purchased tickets in his own name for more than 30 games over three years at 11 different Big Ten schools.[2] On November 3, 2023, Stalions,[3] who was at the center of the scandal, resigned.[4][3] However, the investigation continued.[5] Business ties between Connor Stalions and UM player Blake Corum were also questioned.[6][7] That week, Central Michigan University, a Mid-American Conference program, became a party to the investigation against the Wolverines, as evidence emerged suggesting that Stalions may have been present in disguise on the Central Michigan sidelines when they played against Michigan State on September 1, 2023.[8][9]
Mumford High School

[edit]Stalions was hired as Detroit Mumford High School's defensive coordinator in 2024. After the head coach William McMichael suffered a stroke, Stalions was chosen to be the interim head coach for Detroit Mumford.[10]
