Arbazhsky District (Russian: Арба́жский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the thirty-nine in Kirov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,416 square kilometers (547 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Arbazh.[1] Population: 7,328 (2010 Russian census);[2] 9,647 (2002 Census);[6] 11,933 (1989 Soviet census).[7] The population of Arbazh accounts for 48.6% of the district's total population.[2]
