From 1986–1992, he served as an Assistant District Attorney in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.[4] He was sworn in as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives representing the 199th legislative district in 1993.[3] He held that position until his retirement prior to the 2000 general election.
