Έντουαρντ Τσαρλς Τίτσμαρς
Ο Έντουαρντ Τσαρλς Τίτσμαρς (Edward Charles "Ted" Titchmarsh, 1 Ιουνίου 1899 – 18 Ιανουαρίου 1963) ήταν εξέχων Βρετανός μαθηματικός.[9][10][11]
Εκπαίδευση και έργο
[Επεξεργασία | επεξεργασία κώδικα]Φοίτησε στο King Edward VII School στο Σέφιλντ και στο κολέγιο Balliol του Πανεπιστημίου της Οξφόρδης. Είναι γνωστός για το έργο του στην αναλυτική θεωρία αριθμών, την ανάλυση Φουριέ και άλλες περιοχές της ανάλυσης. Επίσης συνέγραψε επτά κλασικά βιβλία πάνω σε αυτά τα θέματα. Από το 1932 ως το 1963 ήταν καθηγητής γεωμετρίας (Savilian Professor of Geometry) στην Οξφόρδη.
