Sacrarium

Ein Sacrarium (lateinisch für geheiligter Ort) war in römischen Privathäusern der Raum des Hausaltars; im weiteren Sinn auch ein Synonym für Tempel oder Heiligtum.
Im Christentum erhielt das Wort verschiedene Bedeutungen. Hier bedeutet es:
- die Sakristei
- die Schatzkammer für den Kirchenschatz
- einen Abfluss in der Sakristei, der ins Erdreich führt, siehe Piscina (Kirche)
