Carate Urio ist eine norditalienische Gemeinde (comune) mit 1101 Einwohnern (Stand 31. Dezember 2022) in der Provinz Como in der Lombardei.

Geographie

Die Gemeinde liegt etwa sieben Kilometer nordnordöstlich von Como am Westufer des Comer Sees.

Die Nachbargemeinden sind am Norden Schignano und Brienno, am Osten Laglio, am Süden Torno und Faggeto Lario, und am Westen Moltrasio.

Durch die Gemeinde führt die Strada Statale 340 Regina von Como zur Schweizer Grenze bei Valsolda.
