Modulator receptora ili receptorski ligand, je općii termin za supstancu, endogenu ili egzogenu, koja se vezuje za i regulira aktivnost hemijskih receptora. To su ligandi koji mogu djelovati na različite dijelove receptora i regulirati aktivnost u pozitivnom, negativnom ili neutralnom smjeru, s različitim stupnjevima efikasnosti.
