প্যানথেরা ফেলিডি পরিবারের অন্তর্ভুক্ত একটি গোত্র। বাঘ, সিংহ, চিতাবাঘ, জাগুয়ার ও তুষার চিতা— এই পাঁচটি প্রাণী প্যানথেরা গণের অন্তর্ভুক্ত।

[সম্পাদনা]বৈজ্ঞানিক নাম Panthera uncia, যা পূর্বে Uncia uncia নামে ছিল পরিচিত ছিল। বর্তমান এর আধুনিক গবেষণায় একে ''Panthera'' গণের অধীনে রাখা হয়েছে। এরা অন্যান্য বড় বেড়ালের তুলনায় বাঘের সাথে বেশি ঘনিষ্ঠভাবে সম্পর্কিত।
