Kancur (Kaempferia galanga L.) adalah ngaran tanaman hirbal nang baisi manpaat pananamba. Tanaman ngini hidup di dairah trupis duwa subrtrupis. Kancur dipakai gasan industri lawan didapur nang kada hasan tatamba haja tagal dipakai juwa gasan dimakan, diminum nang bagus gasan kasihatan.

Kata kancur atawa Kencur asalanya matan basa Sansekerta yaitu kachora nang baarti temu kunci. Di Indunisia, kancur baisi banyak kiauan, nangkaya kencur di Jawa, ceuko di Aceh, cekuh di Bali, wan sukung di Manado.[1]

Kancur baisi parawakan nang kaya dibawah ngini:

Kancur baisi parawakan batang nang bantukannya basal wan baukuran kukurang labih 20 cm duwa tumbuh bakarumbun. Kancur baisi parbidaan lawan kaluarga lainnya di daunnya malayap di atas tanah, batangnya Kancur handap, akarnya banyak duwa bakalir habuk kakuningan.

Lamun rimpangnya bantukannya handap nangkaya jariji tumpul, bakalir habuk nang kulitnya mancarining lawan babau khas. Bagian dalamnya bakalir putih nang dagingnya kada basabut.

Tampaian tanaman Kancur saawakan

Daunnya manyurangan nang hihigaannya bakalir habang habuk. Daunnya babantuk manjurung malibar duwa ada juwa nang mambulat baukuran panjang 7-15 cm, libar 2-8 cm nang hujungnya maruncing, pangkalnya bakaluk wan higanya rata. Parmukaan daunnya kada babulu, tagal dibawahnya babuluan halus. Tangkingnya handap nang ukurannya 3-10 cm nang bamula tapatak matan tanah kikira 2-4 cm bakalir putih. Banyak daun kancur biasanya 2-3 lambar nang susunannya bahadapan. [2]

Kambang Kancur bantukannya nangkaya tarumpit manyurangan nang panjangnya kikira 3-5 cm. Banang sarinya bakalir kuning nang panjangnya 4 mm, lamun putiknya bakalir putih pina mambigi ramania. Kambangnya tasusun satangah duduk nang banyak mahkuta kikira 4-12 buting nang kalirnya putih samunyaan.

Di kampung urang, kancur diulah jadi jamu nang bangaran baras kancur nang dikinum gasan manambahi salira makan.[1]
