Энтузіязм

Энтузіязм (грэч. ενθουσιασμός, ενθουσίασις — «натхненне», «захапленне») — станоўча афарбаваная эмоцыя, стан натхнення, а таксама, пад уплывам гэтага настрою, жаданне і здзяйсненне актыўных дзеянняў па дасягненню вызначаных мэтаў.

Першапачаткова, словам энтузіязм пазначалі стан чалавека, апантанага бажаством або які знаходзіўся пад яго ўплывам (напрыклад, энтузіязм Піфіі або вакханок). Пазней, з часоў позняй антычнасці і практычна да найноўшага часу - эстэтычная катэгорыя, якая характарызуе рэакцыю суб'екта на ўзвышанае, выдатнае. Так, Сакрат лічыў паэтычнае натхненне энтузіязмам.
