Jean Eugène Robert-Houdin (7 d'avientu de 1805, Blois – 13 de xunu de 1871, Saint-Gervais-la-Forêt) foi un magu francés. Ta consideráu como'l pa de la maxa moderna.

Ñació en Blois, Francia el 6 d'avientu de 1805. Estudió na Universidá d'Orleans, treslladándose posteriormente a París, onde aprendió l'oficiu de reloxeru, estudiando tamién lletricidá y construcción d'autómates. Por un tiempu trabayó como reloxeru. De forma casual diéron-y un llibru sobre conxuros, al traviés del que llegó a interesarse nesi arte y entamó a tomar clases d'un magu llocal. Cuando se sintió llistu, camudóse pa Tours y abrió un negociu como reloxeru faciendo conxuros nel mesmu llugar.

Un momentu prestosu na so vida aportó cuando se convirtió n'estudiante del magu De Grissi.

El so nome verdaderu yera Jean Eugène Robert, al que-y amestó'l de la so muyer Cécile Églantine Houdin, convirtiéndose en Robert Houdin. El gran magu Harry Houdini tomó'l so nome n'honor d'elli.
