Monte
Un monte[1] (del llatín mons, montis) ye una elevación natural y accidentada del terrenu.
Clima y vegetación
[editar | editar la fonte]El clima de monte ye más frío y húmedo que'l del llanu, ya que la temperatura baxa a un ritmo aproximado de 5º cada 1000 metros d'altitú y les lluvies van aumentado cola altura.
La vexetación en monte alcuéntrase en pisos. Nos pisos inferiores topamos vegetación asemeyada a la del llanu circundante pero a midida que subimos van apareciendo especies más resistentes al fríu; tres les últimas especies d'árboles apaez la pradera alpina siguía de les roques e incluso la nieve perpetua. Les especies presentes en cada un d'estos pisos y l'altitú a la que podemos topales varíen según los continentes y tamién cola llatitú, pues nun ye lo mesmo una zona de monte en zones subpolares qu'en zones tropicales.

- América: Aconcagua (6959 m)
- Asia: Everest (8846 m), el más altu del mundu.
- Europa: Elbrus (5633 m)
- Oceanía: Jaya (5029 m)
- L'Antártida: Monte Vinson (4897 m).
