الأمريكتان Americas، أو أمريكا America، هيا أراضى بتقع فى نصف الكرة الأرضية الغربي، وتعرف كمان بالعالم الجديد، بالانجليزية يستخدم مصطلح الجمع الأمريكتين للاشارة لأراضى قارتى أمريكا الشمالية و أمريكا الجنوبية مع، و الجزر والمناطق المحيطة بهما. فى الوقت نفسه تستخدم لفظة أمريكا بالفرد للاشارة لامريكا.[1][2][3] وتغطى الأمريكتان 8.3% من اجمالى مساحة سطح الأرض (28.4% من مساحة اليابسة). ويسكنهما حوالى 13.5% من سكان العالم (حوالى 900 مليون انسان ).
