Stap is 'n lang, kragtige loop, gewoonlik op paadjies of voetpaadjies in die platteland. Stap vir plesier het gedurende die agtiende eeu in Europa ontwikkel.[1] Godsdienstige pelgrimstogte bestaan al baie langer, maar dit behels die stap van lang afstande vir 'n geestelike doel wat verband hou met spesifieke godsdienste.
