Kontinent
'n Kontinent is 'n groot aaneenlopende landmassa wat 'n relatiewe selfstandige geheel vorm en natuurlike grense het. Die planeet aarde het die volgende kontinente (gelys volgens grootte):
- Asië (ongeveer 43 608 000 km²)
- Afrika (ongeveer 30 335 000 km²)
- Noord-Amerika (ongeveer 25 349v000 km²)
- Suid-Amerika (ongeveer 21 069 501 km²)
- Antarktika (ongeveer 13 661 000 km²)
- Europa (ongeveer 10 498 000 km²)
- Oseanië (ongeveer 9 008 458 km²)
