Hoof- uitvoerende beampte

’n Hoof- uitvoerende beampte (HUB)[1][2] is die posisie van die mees senior korporatiewe beampte, bestuurder, leier of administrateur in beheer van die bestuur van ’n organisasie. HUB’s lei ’n verskeidenheid van organisasies, insluitend die openbare en private korporasies, nie-winsgewende organisasies en selfs ’n paar regeringsorganisasies (bv. Kroonkorporasies). Die HUB van ’n korporasie of maatskappy rapporteer gewoonlik aan die raad van direkteure en is belas om die waarde van die entiteit te maksimeer, wat kan insluit die maksimalisering van die aandeelprys, markaandeel, inkomste of ’n ander element. In die nie-winsgewende- en die regeringsektor, is HUB’s tipies gerig op die bereiking van uitkomste wat verband hou met die organisasie se missie, soos die vermindering van armoede, die verhoging van geletterdheid, ens. Die HUB, as hoof- uitvoerende beampte, kan ook as president, uitvoerende hoof (UH), en besturende direkteur (BD),[3] asook die verteenwoordiger direkteur (VD) in Japan[4][5] bekend staan.
